Undergraduate Program -- Legal Studies Concentration

Court of LawThe Legal Studies major (14 courses) allows students to study law and legal issues from a number of disciplinary perspectives.

The prerequisites are...
HIS 161 or 162 “American History”,
PSC 101 “Introduction to American Politics”

The curriculum includes writing and analytical skills and a selection of seven courses on aspects of law from Political Science, Sociology, History, and Philosophy. This major is of interest to students considering professional training in law school, careers in law enforcement, or areas of public administration. Internships in law enforcement, law firms and public administration can be included in the Legal Studies degree program.
